Technology

Hmm, technology. Something which I'm very particular about. Yep, I know it's everyone's favorite topic. *Applause* Haha kidding. Anyways, let's start with the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. Why do people like the 360 when it's using yesterday's technology? Let's see. A DVD-9 technology for its optical drive, no Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio Essential and its wireless are linked to the console by infrared and no motion sensing capabilities. The PS3 instead has all the above making it truly a next-generation console. DVD-9 has only a maximum native resolution of 480p (Enhanced Definition ED) compared to Blu-ray which is 1080p (Full HD). The PS3 supports Linear PCM (Pulse Code Modulation), DTS HD Master Audio Essential and Dolby TrueHD. That's the power of Blu-ray. Some companies like Rockstar even think of making GTA V exclusive if Sony wants as they were unhappy that the file size of all past GTA games were too small to make into a huge game to include more gameplay elements. Therefore, making it superior to the 360. Graphics seem to look nicer on the 360 since most games were first made on the 360 and then ported to the PS3. This means that the games weren't developed fully taking advantage of the PS3's RSX and Cell, since each has 256 XRAM. Since the graphics aren't taken advantage, the quality of the game is reduced making it paling in comparison compared to the 360 at times.

Therefore, let's hope that people will see that the PS3>Xbox 360
