Misconceptions on Video Technical Details

Now where should I start? Hmm.... Let me think... Okay then. Today I shall talk about the misconception on Full HD.

Many consumers are always confused with the difference between 720p and 1080i. Now what's the main difference? What does the P and the I stand for? Well, the p stands for progressive scan and the i stands for interlaced scan. Interlaced scanning uses alternate lines to form an image on the screen in this context, 1920X1080i resolution. Progressive, on the other hand uses both the alternate lines and covers them up totally with the progressive scan.

Basically, 720p is of a lower resolution compared to 1080i. 720p supports 1366X768 pixels, but due to the progressive scan it would be clearer compared to 1080i. But although 720p is clearer, 1080i has a higher resolution and of a higher framerate. Other than that, there are no other differences compared with 720p. Of course, 1080p is the best since it combines both the pros of 720p and 1080i. But at the end of the day, it still depends on your own preference. Personally, I feel 720p is better. Well, that's just my humble opinion. :D

Hmm, why do I always forget what I wanna blog about? :D Never mind then. Well, it's been my dream since last year to work in Sony. In 2007 to 2008, I was already infatuated with Sony. I thought that maybe I'm just infatuated with their products. Little did I know that their culture also affected me tremendously. During those few years, Sony was doing very badly. They had to struggle with their Playstation 3 and the audio market getting dominated by the iPod, thus disallowing their Walkman to shine in the limelight it totally deserves. Therefore, I know since 2009 that I belong to the Sony family. The family of electronics products. Where the once impossible was made impossible (I shan't state everything. The list is too long), they managed to pull through the adversity. With greater strength and learning from their mistakes, they are finally making the correct decisions guiding the electronics giant in a more prospective company as a well renowned electronics company again. A company which made groundbreaking breakthroughs in the field of semiconductors. This improvements made 'em improve by leaps and bounds. GO SONY!!! :D

I'm so gonna go work in Sony someday after my university graduation. I don't intend to be a designer as the Japs are more creative. But anyways, I wouldn't mind helping Sony progress with my knowledge.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

Bought the premium downloadable content on Tuesday. Big Surf Island was unique but some spoilers along the way since I've already seen some of the jumps in the trailers and tours around the island. Beautifully made and awesomely hilarious at the same time. Although sharp corners along the sides of the road pisses me off as I couldn't complete my desired jump successfully. Bloody hell. Let's see I have 21 credits left in my ''wallet'' for Playstation Network. There is this Legendary Car pack which is pretty awesome. 4 cars at the price of $11.90. The P12 88 Special which can hover, the GT Nighthawk which is strongest and ultimate pursuit vehicle. The other 2 which are the Calvary Bootlegger and Manhattan Spirit doesn't sound nice since they are the norm. It doesn't feel that special enough to be a DLC car. On the other hand, the Boost Specials car pack is really, really special.... The Carson Extreme Hot Rod features a new boost type. The Locked Boost. The Locked Boost is blue in colour and once the boost is on, it goes on forever since it's unlimited. It only stops if the car crashes or comes to a complete halt. The Montgomery Hawker Mech boasts a switchable boost making it another very unique car. It can switch from Stunt to Aggression or to Speed. Making it damn versatile. Now the dilemma is which pack should I buy? The Boost Specials pack cost 12 bucks by the way. Aww man.... :X

Dilemma

Aww man... Ya see I've damn alot of shit to buy. From CDs to PSN card. Bloody hell. At the fast rate I'm going, my pocket is gonna blow up like hell. I want the limited CD+4DVDs Boxset of Ayumi Hamasaki's album. Rock 'n' Roll Circus. The good thing is that her songs nowadays are fuckin' hyped up. That's the good thing. Energy is what I need!

SSG & Sony

Many said that I'm fit to be a SSG. My senior said, '' I would put you as one of the senior specialists if I could.'' My friend said, '' Yeah, the other senior specialists are slackers. You should be one of the senior specialists instead.'' Wait.... Am I fit to be even a SSG in the first place? Others are power-hungry. But I'm not sure of that myself. Am I power-hungry? I sure hope I ain't. Hey, everyone is not perfect, including me... Hmm... :x I'll need to think about it. At least, even if I become a SSG it would be too late.

Next Sony product

After getting the NWZ-A845/B last Monday, I wonder what my next Sony product would be.
Would it be the STR-KS360S? OR the BRAVIA W5 Series OR the VAIO F? Haha, products retail prices seem to be in ascending order. O.o The bundled NC earpiece for the NWZ-A845/B is relatively good. Even my friend thought of buying it lols. :D But I'm thinking of getting The Punisher: War Zone and The Day After Tomorrow Original Soundtrack first. I hope Sony releases more NC earpieces by the end of this year. Then, I could choose a NC earpiece to replace my current MDR-NC033. Not that it ain't good, but still how good can a bundled earpiece be?
